It Happened Last Night: Art Soiree’s Political Cartoon Party, Night One

Art Soirée’s art parties keep getting better and better. Last night, the organization hosted an event at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown centered around political cartoons by KAL, aka Kevin Kallaugher. KAL’s cartoons are commonly seen in the Baltimore Sun and in The Economist, and he has fans all over the globe.

To keep things interesting, Art Soirée founders Sandro Kerasa and Tati Pastukhova decided to host the parties over two nights: last night was for Republicans, and tonight is for the Democrats.

Guests purchased tickets for $15 at the door, which goes back into re-investing in the Art Soirée events and programs. Drinks were available for purchase at a bar, and live bands played music throughout the evening. Come back tonight if you missed the first night – jst beware that you may be outnumbered if you lean to the right.
